01. PROJECT DESCRIPTION
This was a logo design project for a client starting a real estate and property management company. They wanted to include the Mayflower ship in their primary logo, so I developed a few iterations of the ship from an initial sketch. The concept sketch and first version of the logo weren’t quite aligned with the client’s vision. We had a meeting to discuss what needed to be changed, and I started on revisions with a clear target in mind. After the ship was dialed in, I created an accompanying word mark that I felt complimented the style of the ship but could also proudly stand on its own. This gave multiple logo options for flexibility: the ship icon, the word mark, and two lockups of them together. Although the project was technically for one logo, by designing each piece to stand alone and/or work together I was able to deliver a more versatile logo set and simple brand package.
