As part of an ongoing, retainer-based relationship, I meet with the Director of Marketing on a weekly basis. The goal of our meeting is maintaining open and direct communication to ensure the client’s needs are being met and to workshop ideas and refine active processes. We work together to take care of large and small issues, and recently developed two landing page concepts to help with business development and lead generation.

The first landing page concept promotes past work to potential clients by featuring white papers which explain the details of a specific project. The client had already prepared the white papers, but they weren’t being leveraged to attract new clients. Our idea was to design a template for a landing page that was intriguing and matched the recently redesigned website, but would be easy for the members of the client team to update for each white paper.

Working with the developer on my team, I designed a page which could be updated with new content using advanced custom fields which our developer added to the site’s backend. The client now has an efficient way to generate landing pages for white papers without having to redesign the page every time. We empowered our client to have the flexibility to publish new white paper pages while maintaining a consistent, strategy-based design and reserving their retainer hours for other projects.
